Default Nissan Micra 350SR - hot hatch with 310 hp V6 in the back seat

It's the maximum Micra! Nissan has fitted a tuned version of the 3.5-litre V6 from the 350Z coupé to its supermini. Called the Micra 350SR, the car also features a special bodykit.

The rear seats have been removed to make way for the mid-mounted 310bhp engine, mated to a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox which drives the rear wheels. Nissan claims a 0-60mph sprint time of less than five seconds and a 150mph top speed.

hmm...if a car like that came stateside at under 35k, I'd definately get it. But something tells me its just a test mule or even if it does come out...won't be seen on this side of the pond. They don't want to detract from their precious 350z.

The MID-4 lives!! Err... MID-2! I'd love it but Nissan doesn't have the balls to do something crazy like this for production.

This isn't the first time such a car has been made.

While it is far from a new idea... I do like the result.

The Clio is much more elegant looking, though.

Hmm. It just occurred to me that maybe the reason this car came into being is because Renault just so happens to own Nissan.

well I did say if this car comes STATESIDE...I don't see any new renaults around here. Also, how many of the festiva shoguns were sold in a car dealership where your average joe could purchase one?

Maybe there have been cars similar in theory in the past...but how many cars of this type are available in the U.S. currently?? That was my point.

I sat in a car where the engine was in the backseat, a VW Variant II... not a very confortable ride...
