Default BMW E90 3-series Touring (BMW-speak for wagon)

I'm just throwing a few pics up here, because it's just a wagon version of the E90 which we all know about already. There's a ridiculously long article on GermanCarFans.com if you really want to read a bunch of stuff about this car.

side profile looks magnum-ish but it has much better greenhouse than the dodge (blindspots on the dodge are huge - so much that even changing lanes is an act of a miracle)

i don't like the z3-fication of the 3 series (always disliked it) and now all of them look that way - bangle just made a generation of bmws that i don't think i'd ever consider

I honestly love wagons and think this is going to be a big hit. They need to offer it in the 330 though and not just the 325.

If Bangle had made this 3 series first and then went to the 5 and 7 things might have turned out OK. Of the Bangleized BMWs the new 3 is by far and away the best. It has been a continued improvement from the 7 to the 5 to the 3.

Not to mention this interior is awesome

i'm not a fan of the hard edges all over the interior. seems like they're trying to make it match the creases and details in the sheet metal, but it doesn't work. the interior looks to boxy, rigid and disjointed, like it's only one step removed from 1985. nothing flows...

i still hate the way they "incorporated" the nav screen into the dash...

Lucky for you navigation is optional.

I drove a 330i with sport package a few weeks ago and I have to say it's pretty freakin great. The interior is really nice too. The sharp edges you're seeing are exaggerated because of the shadows in that picture.

Here's a slightly different view, with a different color choice, shot under more uniform studio lighting.

Yes, there are still creases, but they flow over curves. Certainly doesn't look like any BMW interior from the 80s. I submit, for your comparison, an E30 M3.

Hmm you're right, on BMW USA's site it's called the 325xi Sports Wagon. So far that's the only model listed for sale here in the USA.
