I think that someone took the spy photos and imagined how it would look.

Nice ideas thou...
good eye, i noticed that too..

theres actually a handful of differances between the two pics.

the body lines on the bumper and bottom of the back door.
the black panel/door handle on the window of the rear door,
paint on the spoiler?
the smoothness of the side skirt as it reaches the front fender
i was wondering about the paint on the spoiler also. that's a pretty big discrepancy. the spoiler also looks pretty large in the top pic, and pretty small in the bottom pic. could be the angle, tho

the wheels in the top pic are both IDENTICAL. they rims are both rotated in the exact same position, as are the rotors.. i just overlayed one on top of the other in photoshopm, and they're almost identical - there's some stretching going on from one to the other, but that is to be expected in order to preserve the perspective of the image

these are photoshops, for sure

I had way too much to drink last night, maybe I was seeing things.
The post of the "CTR" pics was originally its own thread, I merged it into this already existing thread.

And both pictures of the "CTR" are photoshopped. I could go through and list all of the individual giveaways but needless to say it's pretty obvious. The headlights look tacked on, the grille is just kind of cut out from nowhere, the wheels as have already been mentioned are identical on the front and back of the car, etc etc etc. Someone took the spy pictures and made a guess at what the production version will look like.

Among other things which give away the bottom pic's photoshopness, the reflections on the exhaust tips do not match up with the reflections on the rest of the car.

But really it just comes down to the details which are highly unlikely to appear on a Honda production car. Like the huge wheels with lots of offset that would be more well suited to a rwd BMW. Or those dual exhaust tips blended with the shape of the bumper. That's a GM trick. Or the utter lack of weather stripping.

It's a photoshop.

i agree it most likely is a photoshop...however the dual exhaust tips blended into the bumpers shape is becoming more common at least on the acura lineup as of late

Not feeling the 06 civic yet. What Honda should concntrate on is first hp.They need to step up to the plate and put 195 up hp because I'm sure all 88-present civic owners with DOHC B16's feel what you have to pay for a 02 up si with 160hp& 2.0 not worth the $$$.Again, you can go purchase a used civic for $1800 up add another 3200 motor swap for 5k$$.Still have about $15k left over for mods or buy another ride. I like all si's. Style,go with a coupe or hatch. Not feeling 4 door hatch.Everything else keep up the good work Honda. Happy new year, gingas

hp is not everything especially in the economy car or sub compact classes...if all that mattered we'd own neon sr-ts or sentra se-r (both of which sell in small numbers especially compared to the 20-30k civics that get sold every month)

the appeal of the civic/crx was its tuning potential...the ef civics (of which i've owned, swapped and done several other major modifications) had crap for power...they were 92hp standard and were underpowered compared to its larger more powerful competitors that made 110hp or greater...and it just wasn't how much power the car could make it was how well the chassis balance was and how light the car was that made it such a hit and so each to make faster...moral of the story is power isn't a cure but only a factor
