Suzuki Swift
Will debut at September 2004 Paris Auto Show - most likely won't make it to the US

Suzuki Motor Corporation has released preliminary photographs of the all-new Suzuki Swift to be launched at the Paris Motor Show on 23 September. Based on the rally-inspired Concept-S shown at the 2002 Paris show, and the open-top Concept-S2 sports car revealed at the 2003 Frankfurt show, the Suzuki Swift 3 and 5-door hatchbacks are Suzuki's vision of the compact car genre and once again demonstrate the Company's consistency in delivering distinctive interpretations of established market segments.

Hey that looks a good deal like the Concept S from the 2002 Paris show. Well, with a couple of extra doors, and a more normal interior.

That car actually looks like something people would drive, unlike the rest of the Suzuki line-up. The exterior and interior of this car is way above the likes of any Suzuki sold in the States. I say they should drop the Aerio and bring this over and actually have a performance model. I know it would sell twice as good as their current line-up.
The article says there are going to be 3- and 5-door versions.

I like. It's got an endearing perkiness to it.
It's one of the few new cars that doesn't look excessively tall.
If the weight is kept down, it could be fun.
Hey, mate it with the V6 from the Vitara XL7. :reechy:
