Yep. In the US Automatic sells. Good example is the Taurus SHO. Once Ford put automatics in them there cars they sold 2x time the year they didn't have an automatic available.
SSG is no SMG but it's better than steptronic.

I understand that the ssg isnt bad for an auto tranny. However, wouldnt cvt still offer the best performance and fuel effeciency..as well as being auto? Since someone posted that it allready has a cvt, I ask what the point is.

well the point is that the CVT is only available with the MINI Cooper (115hp). the Cooper S only has 1 tranny option 6-speed manual.
