600 hp Cadillac CTS Super V
I think one of their main guys was on "Autoline Detroit" and said all of their cars would receive "V" treatment. Not their trucks, of course. It was also interesting to listen to his down-to-earth perspective on the "pimp" culture created by the Escalade and hip-hop and how that helped bring Caddy into the limelight.
Cadillac is helping me put faith into American cars for the first time. But they did open a plant in China...

The chassis and powertrains may be stunning, but the designs sure arent. :eh:
The XLR is the only one I can tolerate.
The CTS is just plain awful.

My guess is that they wanted to develop the car right now rather than wait for the new STS and then the STS-V to come out.
BTW, the STS-V will get a more "traditional" Cadillac powertrain, that being a supercharged Northstar V8 rather than a Chevy small block.

Ive heard 475-500hp, which sounds more believable for GM. You have to remember their "Thou shalt not surpass the Vette" commandment. With the next Z06 rumored to be at least 500hp, it is almost certain that the CTS-V plus will be allowed an equal hp rating, but no higher. They will allow it to surpass the base vette as long as they still have similar power to weight raitios.
GM is doing it's best to kick ass and take no prisoners with Cadillac, and it's working. Now if they'd only take that attitude to the rest of their divisions, GM could truly give the world something to think about.
A-freakin Men!
