Default Dashboard Confessional Kicks Off Fourth Annual Civic Tour

Exclusive Dashboard Confessional Track Available on Tour Website

Torrance, Calif. 05/21/2004
-- The fourth annual Civic Tour launched on May 13 at the Cumberland Civic Center in Portland, ME, kicking off the highly anticipated 35-date tour. Headlining this year's tour is the alternative rock band Dashboard Confessional, who's single "Vindicated" will be featured on the upcoming Spiderman 2 soundtrack and currently can be heard on the Shrek 2 soundtrack. Sharing the stage with Dashboard Confessional are special guests Thrice and The Get Up Kids. Also touring the country will be a customized Civic Coupe, designed by Dashboard Confessional and displayed at all concert venues.

Ten customized Civics will be given away to fans in national and local media promotions, one of which will be given away through an online sweepstakes at the tour website, www.civictour.com. The site also includes commentary from the band, access to special pre-sale information, tour schedule and an exclusive live Dashboard Confessional track available for download.

"We are pleased to be entering the fourth year of the Civic Tour with such an exciting lineup and with the addition of the exclusive Dashboard Confessional music download, we are helping to bring fans closer to the band," said Tom Peyton, senior manager of national advertising at American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Building on the success of the last three years with such A-list artists as blink-182, Everclear, Incubus, Good Charlotte and New Found Glory, Honda continues their support of emerging talent with the fourth consecutive Civic Tour.

Dashboard Confessional Award Their Customized Honda Civic to Julia Lynn Karns of Powder Springs, GA

VENICE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2004--Prior to their headlining concert at the Gwinnett Center on Saturday, June 19 as part of Civic Tour 2004, Dashboard Confessional awarded Julia Lynn Karns of Powder Springs, GA one of the customized and autographed Honda Civics that they personally designed. Karns was among the lucky contestants who won a chance to randomly select a key that could start the Dashboard Confessional Civic through a contest with Atlanta's top alternative station 99X. While Karns was the lucky winner whose key started the engine, all of the contestants were awarded a pair of tickets to that night's show as well as the opportunity to meet Chris, John, Scott and Mike of Dashboard Confessional.
