Dick Colliver, executive vice president, sales introduced the Acura RL Prototype today at the New York International Auto Show.



Media interest ran high today as the Acura RL Prototype made it's debut at the New York International Auto Show with dynamic styling and breakthrough technology including real time traffic information, a revolutionary all-wheel-drive system and Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure designed to enhance passenger safety.



The Acura RL Prototype RL luxury performance sedan made its world debut today at the New York International Auto Show featuring a revolutionary all-wheel-drive system and a 300 horsepower VTEC V-6 engine.

  • World's first Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive System(TM) (SH-AWD(TM))
  • 3.5 liter VTEC V-6 engine

Not bad. Nice guages. It almost looks like a puffed up Accord coupe with 4 doors mixed with some Solara.

Taillights is unexciting, but its not as bad as the new GS or M35/45. Very overall.

Impressive specs, wish I could say the same about the design. I see too much IS300 and Mazda6 in the front and side profiles, respectively. Also, it's quite strange how the center panel looks so similar to the one in the Scion tC.

trunk and taillights look bimmerish...side profile reminds me more of the TL...front looks kinda like an is300 but with better proportioning (less exaggeration)
