I see the need to have an actual sedan in the lineup to replace the Intrepid but maybe they didn't need to call it a Charger.

Personally I'd rather they came out with a Challenger or Cuda rather than a Charger. The '05 Mustang is almost as big as the GTO...if Chrysler brought out an actual nice sized modern muscle car with the Hemi I think folks would throw down the cash. The LX cars have a 120 inch wheelbase which is freakin huge so a Challenger/Cuda would have to at the very least ride on a pretty well modified version of the platform.

The concept doesn't have suicide doors, so you could say it's more like a Mercedes CLS.

In my opinion, popular hotrodding has great renderings on what they think they charger will/should look like.

those are hot but I think it will turn out like the GTO... incredibly boring looking fast car.

those renderings look really nice. Sure thats what 99% of people would want, but yeah, they are going to tone it down and make it just another fish following the rest

Those renderings look like the mutated offspring of a Ram and a Nissan R34 GT-R.

Ah i see it. I think that's the only way it can almost be mistaken if they make it a 4 door.

Well, it's nice to see another car company raping their great history. Baby boomers had Chargers and GTOs and Mach 1's in the 70's and now that they've got kids and wads of money, they want to relive that feeling of exhileration. Nostalgia stifles the Gen X spirit once again.
I actually liked the Charger concept from a few years ago that was powered by methanol. The one posted by 98coupeV6, if I remember correctly. When it was announced that GM was considering the Holden for a GTO, I even held out hope they'd pull the HSV300 that put up numbers comparable to the M3 of the time for about 20 grand less.

Prepare to be underwhelmed... again.
