if it doesn't go straight down to the right part of the page, scroll down till you see "2.0l V6 24-Valve+PGM-FI<TURBO> "
1988. 16 years old. If that's your best point for why Honda will put a turbo in a US market car, you're really stretching.

But your point was refuting his, and his did state "US market car."

alright, fair enough, i should have been more clear. what i was saying, was that honda HAS put a turbo in a normal car before, so there is no reason why they can't do it again. i wasn't refuting the statement about the US market

That 2.0 liter turbo V6 is something I didn't know about and is actually pretty cool. Still, it doesn't have much bearing on future Honda products nor does it indicate any sort of trend of Honda selling turbocharged cars in any large numbers.

Didn't Tom Elliot, in a past article that was quoted on this board, state that Acura was looking for ways to increase power in its future models and said specifically that they did not rule out the use of turbochargers? It's not any indication either way, but he didn't flat out turn down the idea.

I can confirm Honda has a skunkworks going on. I went to the one in Canada, I can even give directions to people if your so inclined(its behind this ice cream company lol)

They had nothing as extreme as what this dude claims, but they have JDM cars such as the Beat, SMX, etc. mostly K-Cars

However, they were messing around with engine swaps(B18 in Civic, B16 in Civic CX, H22A in Civic) etc. Sure it sounds tame now, but this was cool stuff for 1996 or so.

So a Turbo Honda is still likely. YET, I doubt it will be that fast to put into a popular car like Accord, Civic or Integra. I think for now Honda is seriously comparing its IMA and all those turbo/supercharger for the pros and cons. Maybe it is likely, we can see some model based off TL w/ Turbo........ Honda is too good to keep us imagination

Yeah...Honda is so concerned about emissions and MPG lately, why would they change direction and go to turbos? It makes no sense at all, especially when they don't need FI to get high power from smaller (relative to its competition) displacement engines.

Honda has proven tremendous reliability, competitive performance, and great fuel economy with their line of engines, VTEC or not. Why would they even entertain the thought of turbos? They're getting 240 hp out of the J30 and GM has yet to get that on the 3800 without forced induction. As the eminent venerable motors from those two companies, Honda is no doubt committed to naturally aspirited engines with VTEC. There's no reason to believe they'd consider turbos.
