Not one with an automatic transmission with a bad reputation, a funny noise when sometimes engaging VTEC, and plenty of trips to redline :rick:

TRD s/c for under 22K.... I don't know. TRD s/c are $$$$

I'd be suprised if it was under 4K
Ummmm...no?

The TRD SC for the Corolla/Matrix stickers for $2995. They can easily be had for around $2700. Keeping in mind that Scion is about value/price/young people with not much money, I would not expect the tC SC to cost more than the SC they have for the Corolla/Matrix.

I would guess that a tC with supercharger can be had for no more than $21K. Tops.

add labor. just adding tax in CA is $3240 and most people wouldn't know how to install a S/C so that'll make it easily $4K installed.

I know that scion is about cheap price for the younger buyers. which is why to me tC is an oxymoron. maybe at 15K but any more than that and I'd rather buy a civic.

Why 15k? The Si w/ less TQ is around 17k. It'll be fine if it's anything less than 18k. I'm sure you can deal with the dealer for the car and the TRD S/C together. That way, it'll probably be cheaper. So under $22k is not so out of reach.

Um yeah, I agree. Because a $17K Civic EX coupe offers so much more than the $18K tC...NOT.

You're making up prices and comparing a vehicle that isn't even out yet.

well unlike the tC which isn't even out yet. you can bargain on the price of a Civic.

for me the Civic already has one advantage. styling but that is purely subjective.

We know enough about it to compare it as far as standard features are concerned. And I'm not purely making prices up. The press release video stated it would sell for "well, WELL, under $20K." I'm guessing that's around $18K-$18.5K.

Oh really? Most Honda dealers I've been to say (and I guess I appreciate the honesty) that "it's a Honda" and "we don't have to discount them to sell them."

Either way, I'd much rather pay $18K for a tC than $16K for a Civic, but that's just my personal opinion.
