Well, I don't know about their trucks today, but my stepbrother used to own a 1993 4Runner V6 five speed, 4 wheel drive and fully loaded. It was not to good. The brakes corroded at 25k in Arizona
, one of the front shock braces broke, and he got rid of it at 75k. I know that list if full of Chevys on the least reliables, but I still trust Detroit to build trucks more than Japan.

bah. Dont tell me people actually care about PREDICTED reliability. Only idiots would use predicted reliability as a tool in selecting a car.

so tell me that everytime you buy a car you don't care about its reliability!...when you are buying a car and expecting it to be reliable then you are in fact predicting it

I personally would never buy an american car until at least a year after its out and there are no negative coments on its reliability. But people that don't know that much about cars would say, "whoa, I better stay away from the xc90 because its not reliable." when in fact there are no facts backing it up.
