Default 2005 Chrysler Crossfire roadster (and SRT-6)

Autonews.com excerpt from "Power, rear-drive cars highlight Chrysler's '04 products"

"COO Wolfgang Bernhard said the vehicle will have a state-of-the-art soft top with aluminum linkages. Production begins in May.

An SRT-6 performance option will be available in the fall for both the Crossfire coupe and convertible. The vehicle will receive horsepower, suspension and tire enhancements. “SRT” is the Chrysler group’s performance brand."

no more info on the srt6... but im sensing AMG parts borrowed by SRT :chuckles:

If you say so :ugh: Myself, I can't see spending 35k on that car. Z4, 350Z and G35C > Crossfire.

It's getting a detuned version of the SLK32 AMG's supercharged V6... it'll make only 330hp .

Other Chrysler news is the 2005 FWD LWB minivans will have fold flat second and third row seats with a power option (might be standard... not sure). SWB and AWD models will have the regular seats in the 04's. They'll also get visual updates... not sure about powertrains.

Rumors say the Magnum and 300C SRT-8's will get the upcoming 6.1l Hemi V8.

The Jeep Liberty will be updated for 05, with more differentation between regular and Renegade models.

The new Grand Cherokee should debut soon (Detroit?) and will feature the Hemi.

Chrysler will unviel at least two concepts, the Dodge Slingshot and Jeep Rescue, at Detroit. The Slingshot is rumored to be based on the Smart Coupe-Roadster (looks and powertrain wise). I think it looks great. The Rescue is an H2 contender for the Jeep brand, which I think is a vehicle they definitely need.
