i think his designs suck and he should resign. heres someone else who apparently thinks the same :chuckles:

you know...I always did like the new 7-series...I dunno why...it just does it for me. I also really like the z4 quite a bit. However...I saw the new 5 series in person finally today. And I hate it. Kinda weird that I would like the other two and hate the 5..but I guess its because I really didnt care for the old 7 series or z3. And of course I loved the 5 series. right after I saw the 5 series on the road today, I saw the E Class. I never really cared for it because its not a great handler...but man is it beautifull. I guess if I was wanting a good size rwd sedan now...Id hafta wait for the next m35/45...I love the looks of the E Class...but doubt it can handle for crap.

 

The E-Class has continuously adjustable shocks. I'm sure it handles alright. It might not be as fleet of foot in the twisties as its competition from Bimmer but that's always the way Benzes and Bimmers have been.

For a while I could never understand why someone would pick a Benz over a Bimmer when the Bimmer pretty much always handles better, but now I figured it out. These are luxury cars. Not everybody cares about how their luxury car handles as much as they care about how good it is at being a luxury car.

His designs have ruined BMW, I don't think BMWs will be that great now that he is the head designer.

I liked the previous 5-series and Z3 more than the new incarnations.

 

I like his design. I like the 7, Z4, and 5 series. I rather get a BMW over the Benz. Bangles design makes it more daring, and i like the lines flowing through the car. But if I have to choose, I'll take the new M35/45 and the G35s/c over the 5 and 3 series.

E36 Zseries (not Z8)

he is a good designer over all but he should not have been given free reign over the designs.

it all started with the E46 :doh: in my opinion. The only version of the E46 that I truly like is the M3 duhhh (not just because of the mechanical but the subtle body changes).

Do I like the E65/66 7 series? nope hate it.
Do I like the E60 5 series? Actually I do. Currently I think the E39 design is still superior but that's my preference.


So I don't think Bangle should be killed/fired, etc. I think he should be put back in his place.

I think the new 7, the Z4, the new 5 are all tragic accidents and are some of the most hopeless designs to come along since the Edsel. Otherwise I completely agree, that Bangle needs to be collared and put back in his cage. Left to his own devices, Bangle is too much of a loose cannon IMO.
