On a completely unrelated note, I've been looking around the Mazda Japan site and it looks like all 2004 Miatas there get the silver interior trim, including on the a/c control panel. So the production version probably won't have that ugly black bit sticking out in the middle.

Very important stuff, I know.

I do like the gauges, even if they're ripping current Acura (Honda) trends

So because the RSX has guages that start at the vertical, Mazda is biting Honda's style?

Must we argue over something that minute? BTW, the TSX also has them.

So they made the needles point down. All I'm saying is those gauges look more like Mazda ones than Honda ones. Wouldn't you agree?

Who f'ing cares? Next time I'll make a less opinionated statement, such as "even if they may slightly resemble Acura gauges" because I don't really care one way or the other. They're nice looking gauges, that was all I was saying.

Okay some more pics of the actual car at Tokyo.

Looks like it's got black housing headlights, and they managed to get the silver a/c panel in time for the show.

Ya know, I prefer the optional kit on the regular Miata to the like, half spoiler thing that's stuck on the front of the Mazdaspeed.

An article from Caranddriver.com states the engine is a 178hp/182tq engine. This should greatly improve the performance of the Miata. I wonder what other mods (i.e. suspension, etc...) have been made.
