I think the actual production version will be slightly toned down, which is good in my opinion. I'm not exactly sold on this design yet, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. When it comes to the US, it'll be badged Acura for sure. Hopefully pricing of the car will stay the same.
Look around the door panel, does that look like carbon fiber to you? I mean, the NSX was the first all aluminum car.... and a few companies have started to follow suite. Now carbon fiber is becoming me commonplace.... I dont know... what do yall think? Carbon fiber/aluminum sounds ok to me. It'll be nice if weight can about the same, despite the supposed IMA.
With Enzo looks, carbon bodyshell and gullwing doors, you would expect this supercar to wear a Ferrari badge. But in fact, this is the Honda Sports Concept (HSC) - and it's tipped to become the all-new NSX. What's more, just like the Italian stunner, it will cause a real stir with cutting-edge technology.
The current NSX has been on sale since 1991, and its all-alloy construction and no-compromise chassis created a vehicle capable of worrying traditional supercar brands. Honda aims to do the same with this model, using carbon-fibre panels similar to those on the likes of the Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT.
It has the looks to match them, too; the headlamps resemble the existing NSX, but otherwise the styling is all-new. The sharp edges and flat sides aren't only for effect, though, as the HSC's aerodynamics have been tuned to give greater downforce at speed without the need for big external spoilers. At the rear, the LED tail-lights have a holographic 3D effect and a glass screen exposes the mid-mounted engine. Unlike the Enzo, the Honda makes do with a revamped 3.0-litre V6 rather than a V12, but it now produces 300bhp and is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The interior, accessed via scissor-action doors, uses blue carbon fibre and a minimalist 'skeletal' dash structure, while the gearlever is replaced by a paddleshifter. Yet despite the technology, Honda insists that the new NSX will be no more expensive than the old car when it arrives in 2005.

Great call on the carbon fiber panels, yianni
Only 300 horses? I'm not sure that I'm buying this. For Chrissakes, the 350Z has 287. The TL has 270!
Perhaps the 300 is only for the 3.0L V6...maybe that doesn't include output from the two electric motors at the front. Maybe the info is wrong. But 300 horses just does not cut it when you're going up against 415 horsepower Porsche Turbos and 500 horsepower Vipers. Different cars, different strategies, I know, but I would expect more from Honda. When the original NSX debuted, it 0wned Porsche in horsepower.

Sounds like the 300 hp figure is for the gasoline motor only. Maybe the concept doesn't have the electric part of the hybrid drivetrain finalized yet so Honda doesn't want to put a number out yet.
The only 1991 Porsches the 1991 NSX has more power than are the 944 S2 and the non-turbo 911. Both of those cars were a good bit cheaper than the NSX's original $60k sticker. The 928 S4 makes 326 hp and the 911 Turbo makes 315 hp.
