Sweet Bike! :hi5:

Yeah, the electronic steering damper is amazing. Did you by chance get the ABS? I did not and am sort of regretting it.

So far I've gotten all the useless safety warning labels off the bike. I've ordered up a set of Woodcraft frame sliders, front & rear spools, and the Honda rear seat cowl. I've also put on the Honda racing CF tank protector.

It's an opportune time to buy a bike. I'm looking forward to taking an above the line tax deduction for the sales taxes on my bike on the next income tax filing.

One question though. I heard that Honda had raised their prices by 8% starting in April. I bought mine on 3/30. The salesman told me that had I purchased it just a couple days later, it would have cost me near a grand more because they were going to spread that increase out over their current stock.

Tony,

Are you going to do anything to the bike? Exhaust, flush mount turn signals, fender eliminator kit, etc?

Nice Bike

Do you find it comfortable? I've heard the CBR's can be a bit uncomfortable.

The current CBR600 was released in 2007. Honda engineers realized that less than 5 percent of owners ever took their bikes to the track and made it more street friendly and less hard edged.

The handlebars are set a touch higher than previous CBR's, relieving wrist pressure. They made the seat out of some seriously comfy squishy foam. I'm 5'10", 31" inseam, and the bike's ergonomics are perfect.

The 09's have the option of ABS.

"Other changes on the 2009 Honda CBR600RR include an engine that’s been fettled for better low-rpm power delivery, radial-mount monoblock brake calipers at the front, minor changes to the fairing for a reduction in wind noise and for better high-speed stability, and new paintjobs. Power output stands at 120bhp and the new 600RR weighs in at 184 kilos, so performance should be quite nice…"

How do you like that Ninja 250? I've always wanted to try one out, but no one I know has one.

I like it a lot. It's the only bike I've owned so far so I have very little to compare it to. The more upright riding position is nice and it's easy on your back at low speeds. At high speeds I still lean forward because otherwise a lot of wind is hitting you in the chest. It's not a fast bike (obviously) but because it's pretty light it is actually nimble and fairly quick.

Overall I think it was a great bike to learn on. It's still fun to ride after 2 years of owning it. But at the same time I am ready for something a bit more powerful
