Congrats!

After a long delay, I finally got my MSF completion card. I just got my "M" endorsement today. I already have plans for my first ride: right to the shop to have fork seals replaced

What's wrong with them? If you are getting a little fork oil on your forks, that is usually normal.

Be careful that they aren't fucking you over.

There is fork oil dripping down the left fork, and it was pooling on the dust cover. It was more than just a little.

When I compared it to the other side, you could see a night and day difference.

Damn that sucks. Almost like someone overfilled the forks and the pressure caused the seal to pop up a mm or 2 causing the oil gush.

when I got my bike I noticed the front was damn stiff. I checked the spec and it was around 6-11 psi checked the forks and it was 56 The dumbass must have gone done to sheetz and just stuck the air hose on there.

lowered that down and it rode 10x better.

Yeah. I pushed up the dust cover, and used a piece of 35mm film to dislodge any crud that might have gotten caught between the seal and surface. I then used a stiff plastic coated business card to push down on the seal.

It still leaked, but not as bad. Nothing I can do but replace em. I thought of saving myself some labor by pulling off the forks myself and bringing just the forks to the shop, but purchasing a stand, torque wrench, and other tools cost more than the two hours of labor I would save.

Shop said the part is on backorder, they're trying to get it somewhere else. I thought I would have my bike back for the weekend, but I'll most likely get it back sometime during next week.
