the redline is 17,500 and what do you mean coming after suzuki? the R6 is the bike that wingle handedly started the 600 revolution almost a decade ago.

--the only good thing suzuki has had in the last few years is the busa, and that is just a drag queen. i consider it to be somewhat of a flying pig, the gearing is all for top speed and it has no emphasis on acceleration--

the "projected" and "indicated" (on the tach) redline is 17500. yamaha is offering buyback of their first shipment of these things because the actual engine redline is around 15000. A friend and coworker of mine has one, but he's not selling it back. it's still got a lot of power, even if you have to wind it up all the way to get that power.

isn't this a honda forum? :-P

Dont forget the G1K. The GSX-R 750 aslo dominated when there was a 750 class. None of the japanese sportbike manufacturers makes a 750 streetbike anymore but Suzuki. Even though there is no 750 class anymore the GSX-R 750 still has no problem selling.

That R6 however is crazy!!!
