Why Is Tailtucking Popular Now?
I really dont understand why tailtuckin the exhaust pipe is so popular now??
I was always into the style and type of pipes a bike would have on the side of the bike not under it. Suzuki is the only manufacturers keeping it original now and Im a YAMAHA man since 99, now that they decided to redesign my baby the R-1 and tucked the pipes
Im begining to steer near our rivals SUZUKI now.
Do you bike fans feel the same about pipe tucking, is it HOT or NOT??

It has to do with the "race on sunday, sell on monday" phenomenon that has always been there with sport bikes. Under seat exhausts were not really that common in the past in racing or production bikes (Ducati is the only one I can think of). Tucking the exhaust allows for greater lean angles ... something racers can definitely take advantage of. As is typical, this technology trickles down to the production bikes. Unless you do a lot of track days, the under seat exhaust isn't all that helpful. But to be able to buy a 600RR that looks very similar to its MotoGP counterpart, is a huge selling factor and driving force for the people that buy sport bikes and the manufacturers that build them.
