Default Lost another friend

Last night around 10pm a friend was killed in a accident. Apparently a girl attempting a left hand turn turned in front of him and he slammed into the side of her car. The impact actually flipped the car over. Some of my friends were on the site and think it was instant because after contact he never moved. It took the ambelince a hour to get to the scene.

I've just started riding and consering selling my bike. Be carefull out there to all you riders.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Unfortunately that kind of thing happens to even to the best seasoned riders out there. There was probably nothing he could have done to avoid it.

I've heard so many stories like this from others. I've talked to riders with many years under their belt. It seems everyone I know with a bike has a close-call story to tell, and it kind of freaked me out when I heard all that. I love the way bikes look and sound, and I'm not scared of riding one, it's just that I have little protection from what others may do. I changed my mind about riding one.

That's why I'm contemplating not getting the ZX6RR and just selling my RC.

I am really sorry about your friend. Unfortunately there is no way of avoiding unattentive ignorant drivers.

Sometimes I myself think about hanging up my helmet.

May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear. Not saying it can't or won't happen to me, but that's exactly why i go slow, slow, in traffic where i know idiots can, will and still do pull out in front of me. This was'nt on the Georgia Southern Campus was it? I'm in Gerogia also, and read about it. Things like this won't keep me from riding. It just makes me be much more cautious when riding. When it's your time to go, you'll go, i guess.

Thanks guys. No this is up in the Duluth area. I haven't decided if I'm not going to ride anymore but I'm considering whether it's worth it really. Right now I wouldn't have any prob getting rid of my bike if I hadn't droped so much money into it. Basically shit happens and most of the time you can't avoid it but shit happens to me alot. I've already dumped one bike a year and a half ago and I have recently just started riding again.

man, I 've been ridding for almost 2 year, I was always trying to be safe, and only stunt on roads with no traffic, but about 3 months ago, i was crusing with my friend on a normal road, I was ridding a wheelie on a main street at night with a friend, no traffic. My bike slid out from under me, Their was oil or something in the road. I was going 75 MPH with i went down. I came out very very lucky. I got some rash(Deep) on my leg(a chunk of skin off my ankle) And I broke my hand. I was lucky i wore my leather jacket, and pants(jeans). But it sucks to crash, when i see a bike, I am like Damn i miss ridding sooo much, but i know the dangers now. A guy that works with my brother, crashed the same way but broke his pelvis, hip, leg and ribs. he is never going to be able to run again, and he walks with a mean limp. Thats what makes me not want to get a bike. I am just going to be stuntin all the time again. I could hardly walk, my ankle would swell up too much. and my leg was brused. I couldnt even move when i went to bed, cause the skab would break open and bleed all over my bed. NOT COOL.

yo Im sorry to hear about ya friend , homey. DAMN thats sad man...Im from Jersey and traffic never quits up here .. My only advice is to KEEP A DISTANCE FROM CARS AND KEEP YA EYES OPEN. oh yea , ALWAYS SAY ALIL PRAYER BEFORE YOU TURN THAT KEY... My girl kinda embedded that in my skull for life.. LOL yo CRX about your skab, yo make MR. VASELINE ya best friend homey... that keeps it from cracking.. oh and LOTS OF NEOSPORIN... that helps majorly... TO EVERY AND ALL YOU BIKE HEADS , MAY WE ALL RIDE SAVE AND RIDE ANOTHER DAY.
