Default 2003 MDX does not start (sometimes)

bought it on febuary of this year. by may i had to take it in because sometimes it would not start. it would crank but not start. after cranking for about 3 mins. it would kick in. they told me the fuel pump was bad. so it was replaced. ok np. after a few weeks the truck did not start again... then a couple of weeks later it hapened again. so i took it into rick case acura in ft. lauderdale. they had it for 9 days put 400 miles on it (it is a lease car btw) and still did not find the problem. got the car back. a week later same problem. has anyone heard anything about this? what do you guys think...

Hey I had the same problem roll into my shop last week and I could not duplicate the problem. I finally figured it out when the customer came to get his MDX. He was a little angry but when pulled out his keys I realized what his problem was... This guy had 3 huge rings on his hand a S*%# load of keys on his key ring the immbolizer system could not read the key. Acura says there should only be 1 key and a remote on the key ring. ?WHY? Notice when your starting the mdx if the green key symbol is flashing if it is remove the key and try again

I am guessing that you might have a bad starter, what happens may be the brushes wear out in the starter, making a bad electric contact. Have the dealership check it and see what happens.
