Default 99 CRV - Squealing noise

I have a weird squealing noise in the rear(sounds like differential) during slow, tight turns. I assume this is the differential. Can this be caused by low diff fluid or something?

Thanks, Spy

Its caused by the break down of the fluid, the rear differential on the CRV's arent like other american cars they have clucth packs in them similar to whats in a trans. Honda usually recomend replacing the fluid at 60 k but i have seen the noise appear on lower mileage cars. Replace the diff fluid and us Honda Dual pump fluid and you should be fine.

You need to service your rear diff with dual pump fluid...

Honda guy is on the money with his response, it's the dual pump fluid breaking down. MDX's do the same thing. replace it and you'll be all good again.
