Default MDX off-road capabilities

I am looking into purchaseing a '03 MDX or WRX STI(when it comes out) What would sell me on the MDX is the off-road abilites that just couldn't get out of the WRX. How does the MDX hold up off-roading? Can it take on as much as like a Jeep or is it more of a soccer mom SUV?

If you want the most off-road capabilities, you might want to consider an Land Rover Discovery, MDX is still ideal to be driven on the road.

The Disco IIs are great on and off the road.

I doubt the MDX can compare to a Jeep. More like RX300

MDX is not really for off roading. It can handle dirt roads and such better than a car but I wouldn't go off roading with it. It is not meant for that. It does not have low 4WD to handle the situations you would come across off roading.
