I've been dealing with a 01 honda mini van that keeps having trans problems.
It's got 150k and it's about to go on it's 3rd rebuild. It seems like everytime it fails it shows signs of heat failure, like the gears are really black and the converter is cooked. The engine had never ran hot and the temp gauge has always stayed normal. Does anyone have any ideas on why the trans would be having a cooling issue? The shop says that the cooler lines on the trans flush and have plenty of flow, and they are using oem honda trans fluid. They have been taking care of it under warranty, but after this the warranty is up, and I don't want it to fail again in another 10k.
