Just curious if anyone has installed the crossbars on the 03 Pilot EX. The instructions state to remove the roof rail front cover by inserting a small screwdriver in the hole of the roof rail base and release the retaining tab. That simply does not work as there is a metal plate inside the hole that really doesn't move very much when you push on it. If anyone has any knowledge on this subject I would appreciate a quick response.

The object is to release the plastic retaining tab, not the metal plate. Do you have the directions from Honda with the drawings?

Yes, I do have the instructions but when I looked closely in the hole I didn't see any plastic tab as shown in the instructions. I'll go look again but it would be easier to see in the hole if there was a sunroof to gain access through.
