Default 2004 Odyssey?

Anyone know if Honda is planning to redesign the 2004 Odyssey? And if so, when does the new model become available? Oct 2003?

Thanks a bunch,
Becky

Following the standard 5 year cycle, the Odyssey will be redesigned in 2004. And demand hasn't even dropped on the 5 year old version...that's scary. It'll probably become available September-October 2003...so yes and yes

Obviously it's too far away to tell what it's going to have. Rumors will probably trickle in this spring and we'll get pics and stats about a month before it's released...so in August 2003. Long way away. It'll all be in the forum in my signature

I keep hearing conflicting information on this subject. One person who says he is works is Alabama on the Odyssey says the redesign won't be until 2005 (in the Odyclub website)

The new Sienna arriving this spring is better than the current Odyssey. Look into it.

I doubt it. It would be pretty pointless and bad for marketing.

Yes. Because you've driven the 2004 Sienna, and/or specifications on paper mean everything.

I've heard that it's getting a 3.8 v6 engine. Should give out more HP that the old 3.5. The new Sienna seems better, but less HP and still looks like every other minivans. It's got a lot of features though. Nissan Quest is another one that I'm also checking out and hopefully will be testing it soon.

This chinese Odyssey looks familiar to the old Odyssey. I hope the new one doesn't look as close.

That's also the JDM Odyssey, based on the 5th gen Accord platform. It's a piece of crap.

BTW, the next Odyssey will nto get a 3.8L V6. It would be completely asinine to make a new engine when the current V6 already has class leading MPG and horsepower.
