Default 1997 CR-V engine question

I have a 1997 CR-V that unfortunately has either jumped time or a timing belt has broken. I use it for my daily driver and it has been very reliable (225,638). I have read that the B20 is either an interference or non-interference engine. Which is it?

It is interference. Pretty much every Honda including the non-honda(Passport) is interference engine.

Is there any way, short of pulling the head, to find out the condition of the valves?

Default Got Lucky this time.

No bent valves. Now if I could get the auto parts folks to get me the right motor mount we are good to go! WHEW!
