It is way too late now. If it hasn't been changed a few times already (30k, 60k, and 90k miles) you are far behind in service.

It should have the recall jet kit mentioned already... it will be obvious, look for the filler plug on the top of the trans case. It sould have a hose going to it, T'ed off one of the main trans fluid hoses.

i was driving around in my cousins 01 mdx getting head and the girl suddendly raise her head and hit the shifter into neutral then i just threw it back in gear and it revved up really hard and then fell into gear real hard now my 3rd gear its messed up always goes in and out of 3rd hard i also smelled a burning smeel when it revved up hard

To the original poster, never ever flush the Honda auto trannies.

Just do a drain and re-fill with genuine Honda ATF from the dealer.
