Default Your thoughts on a passport?

hey everyone, i'm thinking about trading in my accord for a 98-99 passport next summer. i dont know anyone who's ever owned one or drove one. are they a comfortable ride? known problems? good for off-road with 4wd?

Not good @ all and is a rebaged isuzu rodeo... even finished last in some magazine's test against others, and somehow managed to have more problems than the isuzu version (lots of problems)

I'd agree with the poster in the first reply. The Passport isn't that great of a vehicle any way you look at it. If you need to get an SUV, look into the first gen CRV ('98-01).

any midsize SUV is gonna get half the fuel economy of your accord. buy a newer accord and wait until you can afford a second car then get a good SUV IMO

yeah but they only come in automatic. The J30 is a great engine and it lasts forever, but expect to replace the alt and tranny at around 150k miles. I get low 30's highway MPG at 226k miles. it's a really well built car.

For other readers - your better off getting a Isuzu Rodeo of the same model year. You will pay less for that than the Passport.
