Default CRV Mods/upgrades?

I bought a used 97 CRV about 6 months ago and im looking to spend a bit of money on it to make it more enjoyable for me and my girlfriend.

Its an automatic unfortunantly, with 174km, but I would still like to add some horsepower to it.

Any recommendations?
I plan on adding AEM cold air intake, custom catback exhaust 2 3/4" piping with highflow cat. I had those done on my 240sx and was very pleased with the results for the price. How much does a tranny cooler cost and is it worth it? I would like the suspension to be a bit tighter...

I also want to put 16" rims and bigger rubber... is this possible? What are the rim/rubber combinations i can use?

Im aware of the head problem on the b20... i have had my valves adjusted already... Is there a particular head i should replace it with? Could i add vtech just by replacing the head(I'm not that mechanicaly inclined)?

When i was reading your post i noticed that you want to do 2.75 diameter for the cat back. That is gonna be too big , you will lose what little lowend torque you have. You also can also see what parts they changed in 1999 or 2000. That is when the horse power jumped from 126 to 146. You could probably find those parts on line and used for a decent price. Also alot of parts for the integra work on the crv. So those are a couple of suggestions.

easier said than done, the biggest change from 98 to 99 was the compression ratio.

if you want more power from your CRV, might i suggest getting some mild cams. Crower makes a good set in the 402's or go with 403's for something a bit more aggressive. If you really want to spend the money, you can always turbocharge but i dont know if id really go that route with your milage....
