Default 2000 Honda Passport Tranny Problems

I Have A 2000 2wd V-6 Passport. From Time To Time The Display On The Dash Does Not Move When Shifting Into Gear. When It Does This The Tranny Seems To Jerk Or Slam Into Gear Both In Acceleration And Deceleration. Is There Anything That I Might Be Able To Check?

Alrighty kiddo. Heres something that might help. The Passports/Rodeo's have a GM 4l30e tranny. It has an electronic component that gets nasty. Its called the range/mode switch. Look it up on the isuzu forums and you can get some good help.

The compnent is the reason you cant see the shift indicator move when you change gears. And when its nasty inside, the tranny wont shift correctly.
Had the same problems, in my Trooper/SLX...

Cleaned the connections, on the device. And the tranny shifted better than it ever has. You also have to re-pack the component with Dielectric grease....
