Help. Newbie Passport question.
Ok, this is a long story. First of all, I have a 99 Honda Passport. I've had to replace the engine two times already. This thing is a real piece of $hit.
Ok, so I've been keeping a very close eye on the oil lately due to the past engine problems. The first two engines burnt oil at an INCREDIBLE rate. Anyway, today I went to the bank and came back and parked the car, no problems. Then I went to move the passport out of the driveway and when I was in reverse I could feel it jerking or lurching a little while going in reverse really slowly. Soon after that, the enigne light came on. I popped the hood and I can see that the engine is vibrating in the engine bay. Not a quick vibration, but the whole engine is moving back and forth a little with the engine, almost like a motor mount is broken. I wouldn't think that a motor mount would make the engine light come on though, not have a found a broken motor mount yet. (Haven't looked hard yet, but don't see how mount could have broken backing out of the driveway). Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm fearing another bearing going out in the engine thus requiring a rebuild. Another interesting thing is that the engine is making any funny noises which are usually the indicator of bearings on their way out.
