Default '97 odyssey idle air control sensor???

My check engine light came on but van still running fine at first. Took it to autozone, they connected it to their computer and came up with an idle air malfunction code. They looked on the computer and recommended the idle air control sensor be replaced. They said they couldn't be sure because their computer only narrows it down, it doesn't pinpoint the problem. This part is $200+ dollars to buy, so I did nothing at first since it still seemed to run ok. But lately, if I leave it idling for any amount of time, like at a drive thru or in traffic, it starts to cut out and make a clicking noise in the motor? or somewhere. Any experience with this type of problem? Could my husband replace this part himself? I just spent $800 on a new timing belt and can't afford too much hit and miss on it. Where is the part even located?
