Default 98 Odyssey tranny question

My 98 Odyssey has started a peculiar thing. Stop on an easy uphill and it will hold fine but stop on a steep hill, let foot off brake and it will start to roll backwards until you put the gas on. Is this normal for the Ody? It shifts great otherwise ex for a very slight hesitation shifting back up after cresting hills under load. Any ideas? -J

Default Yeah, I did!

I'll probably ask a bunch of other dumb questions before I figure this thing out but in this case I was curious since my Volvo's have never done that. My wife actually noticed it first and tested it by rolling all the way down the hill to see if it would catch- personally, I was impressed that she backed up that far!

This may be VERY basic, but have you checked the fluid level?
