Should they light up?

I recently bought a 2002 Odyssey and while driving at night, I noticed that neither the clock nor the Climate Control display are lit up. Should they actually light up like everything else on the dash?

Yeah they actually lite up with the car on and the headlights off. I think they may dim a little when the headlights are off though.

Was was wondering if anyone responded to you about this. I have a 2001 CR-V with the same problem. Clock and climate control lights don't work. common problem? Easy fix?
