honda crv speedo problem

Default honda crv speedo problem

My Honda Crv 96 model speedo occasionally flicks to the 0 when travelling , if I slightly pull on the handbrake and release it the needle returns to normal ,Any Ideas how to fixt

Take off the E brake cover and see what wire is shorting against it , you may be getting a short that goes through to the speedo.

Don't think the two are related. If the CEC isn't on its probably just the speedo head itself.
