Hey Ppl Wats Up.. I Have A Lil Dilemna.. for some reason my legend get hot when i turn on the A/C and would cause the car to turn off and won't start up till like after 30 minutes of waiting. i know it gets hot because just like any other car u can smell it gettin hot.

But for some reason the temp needle doesnt go past the halfpoint but does go down when i turn off the car...any ideas guys..

 

If you overheat any car it will shut it down, in most cases. By running ac you added extra load to your engine, which in turn makes it work harder...harder means hotter! Have you changed out your thermostat and bled your coolant system lately? Those are your first 2 culprits, then see if your waterpump is weeping any fluid, indicating a failing pump. Technically your car gets hotter when you turn it off, no circulation! So also check to be sure your fans are working too.Hope this helps.

I had same problem, It was my ac fan relay a $40 fix I also changed my thermostat too works fine now..........
