I recently traded my 1996 RL for a 2002 RL with 25K miles. The newer car rides worse than my Ranger pickup. What did they do to the suspension? It's so stiff you can feel every joint in the road. I've carefully checked the tire pressures (right at 30 psi). Drove the car on a 200 mile trip last week, it like to beat me to death.

 

I like stiff suspension, it makes me feel in touch with the road and makes handling more crisp. Too bad the roads here in SOC suck.

 

When 91-95 legend owners traded in on the 96-00 RL's there were alot of complaints about the soft ride on the new car. In 01 Acura stiffened the suspension on the RL in an attempt to recapture the sport sedan reputation that the legend had.
