Hi, before anybody asks, I'm not mad! I have an 89 Vitesse (same as Legend) with the 2.7 Honda engine and the 4speed S4 auto slushbox (all standard at the mo). I would like to get more power out of the car. Originally I just wanted an engine rebuild; but having thought about it I want more power. What about a swap with a more modern Honda V6 with VTEC and/or turboed (3.0 or 3.2). is it possible, has it been done with any Legends? As for the gearbox, what about something way more modern such as a decent semi-auto or tiptronic. Does anybody have any other suggestions or can anybody help with these plans, I still can't find dimensions or prices for these honda engines (dream would be an NSX V6 but....). Also does anybody know where fuse S is under the bonnet to reset the current ECU. Also where could I get an ECU for the new(er) swapped engine. Thankyou very much

Hmm...our USDM RL is your Legend over there I think, but anyway...

I've heard of doing the 3.5 liter block from the 1996-2004 USDM RL's and mating them to the Type II 3.2 V6. I've heard some running in the mid to low 14's with this setup.

trying running a search on www.acrua-legend.com those forums you will find much more help. i have never heard of doing any type of swap with the 1 generation legend though, but if you have the money it can be done.

I Have A 1988 Legend, Iv Put In A Super Chip, Exchaust System, Air Filter,iridium Spark Plugs,engine Overhall. My 2.7 Now Fells Like A 3.7. It Wernt Cheep, But Over 9 Years You Dont Feel It So Much.
