This has been gone through before, I have read different regs in different places for CA, I would just get a note from a dermatologist, or write one myself regarding the melanoma my wife had removed, and tell them to kiss my white ass

Thats a bit excessive.

To the person that started this thread. Just comply with the laws of your state. If they disallow tinting the front windows and you wanna tint them...just dont tint them too dark. When u get the car inspected or get pulled over just roll ur windows down (with inspection it helps if u have a month in the summer like me)
remember it will only cost you like 35 bucks a window to get the front done
so its not too bad if u gotta put that up once every couple of years. Start a window tint fund jar and put away a dollar a day.

Thats what i did i went with 20 percent first than went over it with 5 percent its really dark. At night I have to dim my dash lights or i cant see. I have never been messed with about my tint but my brother has got alot of tickets for his front window i didnt tint my windshield i dont recomend it.
As for at night if u do go real dark just look for headlights

i dunno bout laws sometimes...i heard itz illegal to have lights on the OUTSIDE of ur car...EH, WHY?? just makes it easier for people to see you and not crash into you. And besides, if i ever got pulled over for some stupid shitt like having outside neons, id fight it. Im sure there's no book that has it written "Extracated outside lights are illegal..." They're distracting? So are bumber stickers! I think it just gets on cop's nerves. Oh, and cops break up loitering in parking lotz at like 12:00 at night...why can't we loiter? We can in the daytime, and there's no where around that says "Loitering only allowed until 11:00. WTF is up w. that? Screw cops, id fight alot of the stupid rules (im sure alot of them arent laws, i want to see in writing before i go to court about it.)

ok guys thanks for all the input.

i recently went to a window tinting place, and he said he'd do the whole car for $100, seems like a good price to me. It turns out the legal limit for the driver and passenger windows in MA is 50%.

I saw the guys car that worked there and he had 50% all around, it wasnt very dark at all. He would obviously do my car darker, but he said i wouldnt pass inspection.

To all you guys that are driving with illegal tint, are you driving your car with out of date inspection stickers? I really want a darker tint, but i cant drive a car that wont get inspected in a year.

Do you think it would look better to do the rear windshield, and the back windows (on a 2 door, 3rd gen) really dark....and then just have the front legal limit? or do you think it would look better to just have the same (probably 50%) all around.
