Thats exactly what i did...got over confident, and lost control.

From that day in May 2002, i ask myself when driving spiritedly, "Is pushing myself and my car that hard worth my life, the life of my car, or better yet, the lives of other people?"

The answer is always no.

I'd go with intake, headers....errr sorry HEADER , and exhaust like so many people here have suggested. Those should get you started. I remember hearing somewhere that if you start off with exhaust you actually lose HP because there's not enough back preasure. Any truth to that? I'm not sure myself.

this "not enough back-pressure" crap is so false. the only reason you'd lose hp just having an exhaust is because the exhaust pulses from a smaller diameter tubing (header & cat) begin to bounce in a larger diameter (exhaust tubing). therefore, flow efficiency is inadequate, until you match the cat and header diameters to the exhaust.
