Default this ever happen due to your CAI?

my ac went out 2 weeks ago so i take it into honda to have them find out what happened. they said they would do the test and then fix it. well they have my car ready in an hour after doing an oil change too and i come out and they say they can't fix it. they said that my intake rubbed a hole in the ac line. so now i have to find a way to put the intake up away from the ac line and then go have them fix it again. so im not exactly sure what to use.

i have an AEM CAI and do you know how they give you that black rubber stopper so when the tubing goes down it kinda pushes it away from the metal on ur car? well the only thing i can think of is that it melted a little and caused the piping to lean up against my ac line. has this happened to anyone else? and if not, you guys should go check it out right now and make sure your intake isn't touching anything or u'll end up like me. this is not fun to go through esp on hot days so make sure it wont happen to you. any ideas on how i can fix it? the only thing i can think to do is put some washers underneath the black stopper pushing the intake up a little bit away from the line. help me out. sorry its so long too

Mine let go too... It wasn't rubbing any lines though, just making a banging sound on startup. I would imagine the 'banging sound' was the pipe hitting against the hole through the fender wall. I complained about the banging noise during an oil change, at the dealer, and they found it. Basically, that rubber bushing is glued to a bolt, which threads into the frame; and your AEM CAI bolts to the top of it. I just 2-part epoxy'd it back together and called it a day. Pretty stupid design IMO.
