Default Clear Radiator Hoses? Who likes to see coolant flow?

I was looking through Modified Magazine (its not on here but in last montsh mag) and noticed an ae86 trueno - a shot of the engine bay showed that its radiator hosing was clear, you can see right through it to see the coolant.

There was only one hose - it was to the heater core.

I was curious if anyone knows if clear pvc would hold to the temperatures ? Its a unique idea. Any have any ideas for a DIY and what materials to use ?

PICS -

Sorry about quality but you get the jist - no scanner and not from web - any ideas ? i like this idea. :driving:

you can probably get high temp tubing in clear. Why...I dunno maybe to check for bubbles?

I wonder what kind of tubing you need though, the water temps are not THAT hot

*shrug* just thought it was cool - everyone tells me to stick with oem hosing, but i have to replace the exact one pictured to heater core cuz it has a tiny crack where it is held on by cracks and thought this would be unique alternative.

That's not PVC. I bet it's a wire wrapped silicone.

Ask these people: www.hosenow.com

If they don't have it, it doesn't exist.

I guess it would be cool if you had a green car or green accents under your hood. By the way, thats a sweet supercharged 4AG.
