is it legal to have the type one exhaust system in the US? cuz it has a 2.5" piping dia. and it has what i'm looking for.

also, which out of these exhausts would you guys recommend: mugen, spoon n1 w/b-pipe, and type one racing.

I'd get the full type one exhaust. Its what i am getting also.

It is legal unless your state has laws against loudness because it is loud. You made a great choice it is one of the best exhausts i have been looking at. Its a true 2.5" and sounds great.

DAMN THE DEVIL TO HEYAL!! that sounds awesome! the only thing i'm worried about is if the exhaust is loud at idle and if i were just cruising? if it is, that might get a little annoying. sounds awesome as hell though.

also, which type one muffler has the 2.38" dia. and which has the 2.5" dia.? cuz i saw on aj-racing.com they have one and randdmotorsports.com has a couple. so i'm a bit confused. which would you recommend?

The old models were 2.38" all the new ones are 2.5. Go with the 2.5.

 

what does the 2.5" look like? is the tip offset or does it look something like an apex n1 or hks w/ titanium tip? and is 2.5" too much for a stock type r w/ aem cai, or should i be ok with a 2.5"? probably later i'm gonna rebuild the head with spoon cams, cam gears, valves, etc.

oh yeah, i've also heard about type R guys using kakimoto R exhaust. and that has 2.5" piping too. what do you think of the kakimoto R?
