Default is $1200 to shave your door moldings on a 4dr teg too much?

i was quoted this price when i called up body shop, and they told me $1200, i was shocked that it costs this much, i have a 4 dr too, but still, thats quite a lot, for those of you who know more about this or have gotten your door moldings shaved, how much should it really cost? i just wanna be sure i don't get ripped off, please help...

wow you are really headed in the wrong path.

dumped on 18"s with no handles? Integras weren't meant for this shit dude.

umm i think that shop or wherever is ripping you off man! i paid $600 to get my door handles (2 dr), moldings, emblems, trunk keyhole, antenna, and windshield squirter on the roof towards the rear! they did awesome work..body lines straight adn all. i was impressed! does that include repaint for that price? thats way too much!

yeah for that price it includes everything, they say they gotta repaint the whole door, is this usually how its done? cant they just paint the part that they take out and blend it in to match the door?? i mean $1200 to shave the door moldings, sigh...

yeah your getting ripped bro! id go somewhere else, let them shave em...and get your whole car repainted with the money youll save taking it somewhere affordable!

You could buy a lot of performance parts for $1200. Who cares about some stupid door moldings? They protect you from getting dings.

Are your door moldings body color? Mine were black, and I spent $200 to get them and the stock side skirts painted to match the car. Looks a lot better and significantly cheaper than getting anything shaved.

i agree with jgordon...in fact i painted my lip and my sideskirts from black to red...it's not hard at all takes some patience but definitely not 1200
