is $1200 to shave your door moldings on a 4dr teg too much?

Now this price came from a friend of the family.

Shaved door handles, side moldings, and gas tank door.

350 for the paint and 80 for the clear. I requested 6-8 coats of clear so another 80.

Taking out all the dings too.

800. Cheaper if I helped him which I will.

1200  No Vaseline.
Of Course others might say that's a decent price, but I try to do all of my work and I don't have a paint booth yet.

It will be cheaper 'cause I've decided NOT to shave my moldings. Too much of a chance. Have you seen cars with the moldings shaved? Unless the paint was dull I'm sure you noticed the "ripple".

My Honda dealer quoted me 120 beans for new side moldings, all 6pcs.
