Default wierd noise normal?

I just installed a fuel pump (Walbro 190 lph) and I was wondering if it is supposed to make a "hair dryer" type wheezing sound that its making. I only notice it at idle. The entire installation went completely smooth. Is it normal?

ever walk behind a dodge while its idling? they make the same sound - its the fuel pump. While it is normal, if its really loud - something doesn't sound right (no pun intended).

Performance pumps will make some noise, not saying that your noise is the right noise because I cant hear it.

Chevy trucks FP's are loud as hell also

I think it is the fuel pump now. It not that noticable, but does it seam right that it would be louder on a more empty tank?
