ok, here's the deal....

i took mine off a few months back, 'cause they were rattling like crazy. well, right after that, my clutch pedal started to go to hell. after driving for around 10 minutes, the pedal would get much harder to push in, and would make a groaning noise. i replaced the slave and master cylinders, and had the tranny scoped to see if it was the clutch fork or thowout bearing (they weren't making the noise). note that when cold, the clutch pedal and assembly operates normally, and feels fine. this problem only seems to occur after driving the car for a while.

so what i'm thinking is that since the upper heat shield is missing, too much heat is entering the engine bay, along with heating up the firewall, causing the master cylinder to heat up, and start making this fvcking noise.

maybe i'm retarded, too, and the ppl @ the tranny shop who 'scoped' my tranny are too incompetant to dianose the problem as a bad throwout bearing.

anyone have any ideas?? feedback would be appreciated!!
