Default newbie ?? on '97 Integra LS

My g/f has an automatic and i just wanted to know what's the best thing to do to give it a little more pep and better suspension. It handles like shit on turns. I looked on ebay and saw some really cheap strut bars at around $15 each but not sure if they're crap. Would a CAI help it?

IMO don't buy cheap strut bars cuz they tend to bend easily. Try to find a Neuspeed sturt bar cuz it gives great chassis reinforcement, also try to find a ITR rear sway bar kit, you'll be amazed how much improvements it gives you (less oversteer). Overall these 2 mods won't cost you over $250 if you can do the install your self. A CAI will not help mucn unless you have other mods come with it, I'd say 1-2whp and 2-3wtq gain. But since your gf has an automatic, I suggest you to leave the engine alone cuz the tranny won't hold too much power, and mods like I/H/E only give very little HP, especially on an automatic.

Your not gona get much out of it as far as gettin more power(trust me i got a 99' Ls auto) unless you turbo it or supercharge it. The bad part with doing one or the other is that the tranny will go after a while( Honda/Acura auto tranny's suck). As far as the suspension lower it with some eibach springs(eibach rides real nice) and get some strut bars(front/back) and that should help a good bit.

Yeah, listen to AcIntgr99...cuz i got one too and was planning on putting intake and headers but there isn't much potential with these if u have an auto. But i will put an N1 muffler on mine cuz i like the sound it makes. I heard that putting an intake would make the muffler sound louder...so i might put that too, just deciding between AEM SR or a comptech icebox.
